I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, where I studied Physics and Biology (minor). Currently, I am a PhD student at the Lässig lab at the Institute for Biological Physics at the University of Cologne. In our group, we use methods from Statistical Physics to study biological phenomena ... always in the light of Evolution. More specifically, my current research focuses on understanding the coevolution of viruses and the adaptive immune sistem of vertebrates.
